Palermo - Day 5 Part 2

After lunch we had the brilliant idea to go to the Archeological museum thinking it would have good AC (It had its moments) but, interestingly, it had a lot of artifacts from the temples we’d seen earlier in the week at Selinunte.

These were on the sides of some of the temples from our day 2 visit.

And this surprisingly intact lion.

It was cool because the museum mentioned how the temples would’ve been brightly painted. - I never thought about that before. Here’s an example.

We also saw some early bullets that would’ve been "shot" using slingshots.
They’re engraved with either the name of the shooter (pride) or the name of a god who would guide the
bullet’s journey.

Also interesting (to me). This photo below is a budget…
From the 1st century bc. Imagine carrying that to a meeting!

After the museum we rested at the apartment - Then headed to a new area of town for a drink and dinner - We continued our pizza quest. (I liked this pizza better than the night before.)We ordered a liter of wine and then realized that was more than a bottle!
